Indiana University’s Music Industry Networking Club was founded in the fall of 2011. MINC focuses on providing networking opportunities and hands-on experience for students interested in one day entering the music or entertainment industry.
So far, our networking endeavors have included speaker panels for students, networking trips to Nashville, TN and Chicago, IL to meet with industry leaders, and conference planning. Our endeavors will continue as we plan to attend some of the many music industry conferences, continue to go on networking trips, and plan our own annual music conference on Indiana University’s campus in Bloomington, Indiana.
Students have received hands on experience from planning and outlining the details of IU’s First Thursdays Festival, The Hoosier EDM House, and doing promotional work for local artists.
