MINC updates

Hey music lovers,

Here are some things that are happening around with MINC:

Movie showing

The IU Cinema will be screening the film, Downloaded, on Sunday, October 20 at 6:30PM.  The film should last until 9:15PM and we are thinking about having a reception afterwards for people to mingle instead of a panel.

IT IS FREE!!! So you should definitely stop by.  Plus, the IU Cinema is awesome 🙂

Monthly Speaker

We have another monthly speaker coming up this Monday, October 14th at 8:00PM in SPEA 278.

Joining us will be Grant Manship, who is an entertainment lawyer for the Secretly Group.

We are asking that if you attend this discussion please come prepared with ONE question to as Grant so that we can have a good discussion going.

Hope to see you there.

Conference planning

We have picked a tentative date for the conference, Saturday, November 16th.

We are thinking of having two panels and a breakout session to follow each of those panels.

Members seemed to be most interested in a live music panel and a management panel.  If you know of anyone who may be a great panel speaker for this conference, please let us know ASAP and we can start putting that together.

MINC branding

If anyone has experience in graphic design, we want you!  We are trying to put together a poster/flyers to get MINC’s name out there, and your expertise in graphic design would be very helpful.

Plaid Rabbit

If you are interested in doing PR or managing, shoot Emily a message on FB.  If you haven’t joined the Plaid Rabbit Group on FB, do so so you can get all the info!

It seems that there was a lot of interest in having a booking workshop, so those details are in the works.  Keep checking the Facebook pages for more details.

Until next time!
